Prominent food writer Josh Ozersky, who was an early food blogger, book author, writer for Time and Esquire and founder of the animal-protein festival called Meatopia, died Monday morning in a hotel room in Chicago, where he had traveled from to participate in the James Beard Awards. He was 47. According to press accounts, Ozersky was singing karaoke with friends until 4 a.m. Monday and was found dead about seven hours later.
